Finding food

Where can I find a food truck serving now?

Open Street Eats to see participating trucks broadcasting in your area. Check the current profile before traveling; service and locations can change.

Does Street Eats show every truck near me?

The map shows participating businesses. Nationwide app availability does not mean every truck or city is represented.

What if there are no live trucks nearby?

There may be no participating trucks broadcasting in that area at that time. Try again later. A featured partner does not guarantee current service.

Can I check the menu and sold-out items?

Owners can publish menus and item availability. Check with the truck about current stock.

Can I follow a favorite truck?

Save participating trucks as favorites to find them again. A favorite does not reserve food or an event date.

Can I find coffee carts, dessert trucks or food trailers?

Participating coffee carts, dessert trucks, food trailers and other eligible mobile vendors can appear on Street Eats. Local selection varies.

Can I use Street Eats when traveling?

Street Eats can be used in different cities, including Kansas City, Springfield, Conroe, Houston, Austin, and Phoenix, with coverage depending on participation. Bookings, wider map exploration and scheduled broadcast end are coming in Street Eats 2.0.0. They are not available in the public app yet.

How is a live truck different from a partner venue?

A live truck broadcasts its current location and status. A partner venue may have a fixed address and published hours. These are different kinds of map entries.

02

Booking an event

Can I book a truck for a birthday or backyard party?

Bookings is coming in Street Eats 2.0.0. You cannot book in the public app yet. Choose an eligible participating truck and describe the date, location, headcount and service window to request a quote.

Can I book wedding food or late-night snacks?

Describe the wedding, rehearsal dinner or late-night service in your request. Confirm the menu, timing and any tasting with the truck before accepting the quote.

Can I arrange an office lunch or team event?

Include headcount, service window, budget and location. Agree on the service and payment arrangement in the quote. This is separate from individual in-app meal ordering.

Can I arrange a neighborhood event, fundraiser or brewery service?

Discuss site access, permissions, service conditions and any fundraising arrangement with the truck. Vendor acceptance and local requirements still apply.

How much does a booking cost?

Street Eats takes a 4.99% platform fee from the accepted quote, paid by the truck. Guests pay the quote plus processing and applicable tax shown at checkout.

What does the 4.99% fee mean on a $1,500 quote?

On a $1,500 accepted quote, the 4.99% platform fee is $74.85. That leaves $1,425.15 of the quote after this fee alone, before the truck's own costs. Guest processing and tax are separate.

Does accepting a quote reserve the date?

Accepting holds the date for 24 hours. The date is reserved when you pay the deposit. If the deposit is not paid in 24 hours, the hold releases and the date opens again.

Do I pay the full amount immediately?

Bookings supports a deposit and a later balance. Review the amounts, due dates and cancellation policy before paying.

What if I need to cancel?

Read the cancellation policy and refund preview before you pay. If you cancel after the deposit is paid, the policy decides the food refund. Street Eats keeps the 4.99% booking fee the truck paid at deposit. Amounts not yet charged are not collected.

What if the truck cancels or does not arrive?

If the truck cancels, you get a full refund of everything paid, including processing and the Street Eats fee. If the truck does not stamp that they arrived and you report a no-show after the event starts, you also get a full refund, including the fee. If they did stamp arrival, Street Eats reviews the thread. Replacement service is not guaranteed.

Can I pay a Street Eats booking outside the app?

Payments for bookings that originate in Street Eats must remain in the Street Eats booking payment flow.

Can I request vegetarian food or ask about allergies?

Include dietary questions in your request and confirm the menu and preparation requirements directly with the truck. Street Eats does not certify allergen-free preparation.

Can I book several trucks or recurring service?

Confirm each truck and event separately. A unified multi-truck checkout and automated recurring bookings are not offered in the described flow.

Can I book at the last minute?

Requests depend on participating trucks' availability and response. Sending one does not guarantee a quote or arrival.

Can a truck outside my city serve my event?

Ask the truck about travel range, site access and additional charges. Confirm these details in the accepted quote.

03

For operators

How does a truck owner get found?

Join as an eligible vendor, complete your profile and menu, and broadcast while serving. Operator membership terms are separate from the Bookings platform fee.

What must a truck do to accept paid bookings?

An eligible operator account and completed payment onboarding are required for paid bookings. Follow the onboarding steps in the app when Bookings is available on your platform.

Can an owner stop a broadcast automatically?

Scheduled broadcast end lets an owner choose when a serving session ends. Bookings, wider map exploration and scheduled broadcast end are coming in Street Eats 2.0.0. They are not available in the public app yet.

04

Features and support

Can I request a truck to come to a hungry group right now?

Ping-a-Truck, Hot Spots and Hotspot Pot are planned demand features. They are not current bookings, food orders or guaranteed dispatch.

Can I order pickup or delivery today?

Street Eats does not currently provide in-app pickup ordering or delivery. Find a participating truck and purchase food through the service it currently offers.

Is Street Eats the same as StreetFoodFinder or Best Food Trucks?

No. Street Eats is the product at eatonthestreets.com from Buhrn Technologies LLC. StreetFoodFinder and Best Food Trucks are separate products.
