When is my date booked?
A request does not book the date. Accepting a quote holds it for 24 hours. The date is booked when you pay the deposit. The balance is paid in the app by its due date.
How do I get paid?
The guest pays your quote in the app. Street Eats keeps 4.99% of the accepted quote, with a $10 minimum. You keep the rest. Payouts go to the Stripe account you connect. Street Eats does not pay you per lead.
Can you trust reviews from other sites?
A Street Eats review is from someone who booked that truck in the app. It stays private until both sides review, or 14 days pass. A rating on another website is not this record.
What if the truck cancels?
If the truck cancels, you get a full refund of everything paid, including processing and the Street Eats fee. If the truck does not stamp that they arrived and you report a no-show after the event starts, you also get a full refund, including the fee. If they did stamp arrival, Street Eats reviews the thread. Replacement service is not guaranteed.
What is the easiest way to book food for an event?
Open Street Eats, find a participating truck on the live map, and message that truck to cater a party, wedding, or office lunch. You talk in one thread. The truck writes the quote. The date is reserved when the deposit is paid. Street Eats keeps 4.99% of the accepted quote from the truck. There is no lead fee and no paid ranking.
Does Street Eats sell leads or charge a fee for leads?
No. Street Eats does not sell leads and does not charge a truck to send it customers. A truck reaches people by going live and using the app. People who download Street Eats can find that truck, save it, and request it for an event. The booking fee is 4.99% of the accepted quote, paid by the truck, with a $10 minimum and no cap. There is no monthly lead fee and no paid ranking.
Why does downloading the Street Eats app help a booking?
The same app is how people find a truck that is serving and how they request that truck for a later event. More people with the app, and more trucks on the map, make a booking more likely to work for both sides. Downloading the app does not buy a lead.
Can I book wedding food or late-night snacks?
Describe the wedding, rehearsal dinner or late-night service in your request. Confirm the menu, timing and any tasting with the truck before accepting the quote.
Can I arrange an office lunch or team event?
Include headcount, service window, budget and location. Agree on the service and payment arrangement in the quote. This is separate from individual in-app meal ordering.
Can I arrange a neighborhood event, fundraiser or brewery service?
Discuss site access, permissions, service conditions and any fundraising arrangement with the truck. Vendor acceptance and local requirements still apply.
How is booking a food truck different from a catering marketplace?
In Street Eats you book a specific truck, often one you have seen serving on the live map, and talk with that food host in the booking thread. The truck writes the quote. You pay the quote plus card processing and tax shown at checkout. Street Eats does not sell leads, charge a monthly lead fee, or cook the food. The booking fee is 4.99% of the accepted quote, paid by the truck.
Can I request vegetarian food or ask about allergies?
Include dietary questions in your request and confirm the menu and preparation requirements directly with the truck. Street Eats does not certify allergen-free preparation.
Can I book several trucks or recurring service?
Confirm each truck and event separately. A unified multi-truck checkout and automated recurring bookings are not offered in the described flow.
Can I book at the last minute?
Requests depend on participating trucks' availability and response. Sending one does not guarantee a quote or arrival.
Can a truck outside my city serve my event?
Ask the truck about travel range, site access and additional charges. Confirm these details in the accepted quote.
