KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July 31, 2026) Street Eats, a veteran-owned mobile app from Buhrn Technologies LLC, has been submitted to the Apple App Store and is targeting a nationwide opening on July 31, 2026. Downloads begin when the App Store listing goes live. Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas, are the first focused launch communities. The app helps people find participating food trucks, carts, trailers, mobile coffee and beverage vendors, and other legally permitted mobile vendors through the status, location, and menu information those operators choose to publish.

People who signed up on the Street Eats list will get updates when downloads open. Until then, eatonthestreets.com remains the place for launch news, city focus, and signup.

Street Eats began with a recurring Kansas City question: Where is the truck? Social posts go stale. Group chats guess. People waste a lunch break. Independent operators work hard and still get missed. Street Eats puts live discovery on a map so hungry people and mobile vendors can find each other in the real world.

Customers can browse participating vendors, save favorites, and view current menus when operators publish them. Finding food on Street Eats is free for customers. Owner tools are what trucks pay for. Live truck discovery begins at launch. Ping-a-Truck, Hotspots, and Hotspot Pot are planned for August 2026 after Kansas City rollouts. When those demand tools are live, nearby requests can gather into a privacy-conscious Hotspot that eligible trucks may evaluate, and Hotspot Pot can attach an optional pooled tip so trucks see headcount and tip size before deciding whether to move.

Food lovers and mobile vendors across the United States can join at launch. Kansas City anchors the first focused local push, with Conroe, Houston, and Austin featured for deeper growth. Street Eats is a visibility and discovery platform. It does not take food orders between customers and vendors, and a ping or Hotspot Pot does not guarantee that a truck will appear, respond, or serve. Early launch traffic can feel quieter until more people and trucks are active locally. That is expected for a two-sided network.

Steven Blackburn, Founder of Street Eats

“We submitted to the App Store and we are ready for July 31. The second Apple publishes the listing, downloads open, and if you are on our list we will tell you. We are not selling magic density on day one. We are selling a clearer street. Use the platform when you can. Kansas City asked the question first. The rest of the country can answer it with us.”
